Mannek
Mannek is a photographic enquiry into the delicate yet striking juxtaposition between visibility and interiority within Black womanhood.
Drawing from lived experience as both reference and inspo, Mannek reflects on how Black women are simultaneously hyper-visible and distanced; perceived and aestheticised - yet rarely engaged with through a deeply human, individual lens.
Fixed readings of place are disrupted and grounded environments are reauthored through the surreal possibilities of Black imagination.
