Hannah Naomi is a multidisciplinary artist, writer and spatial designer based in London.
Her creative approach is shaped by a background in classical ballet and contemporary dance, informing a deep sensitivity to movement, form, and spatial composition.
These influences have cultivated an artistic lens through which she interrogates the dynamic relationships between people and the environments they inhabit.
Hannah’s practice explores how race, nature, and spatial design intersect to inform human experience.
Drawing connections between architecture, landscape, and the moving body, her work investigates how designed spaces shape perception, behaviour, and social interaction. Central to her methodology is the idea of space as both a physical and conceptual element, where material structures and spatial configurations become frameworks for narrative and experiential engagement.
Engaging with both urban and natural environments, she uses experimental, art-house methodologies to examine the fluid exchange between identity, place, and design. Her work often invites audiences to consider how spatial design influences emotional and cultural awareness, using immersive installations to highlight the nuanced interplay between body, movement, and environment.
Hannah’s portfolio reflects a commitment to spatial storytelling that bridges personal and collective experiences; prompting critical reflection on how we experience, design, and move through the spaces we call home.

Mannek
Mannek interrogates the duality of Black womanhood as both vibrant subject and ornamental object , celebrated for its aesthetic resonance yet often estranged from its own humanity. The work explores how visibility becomes paradoxical, to be endlessly observed but rarely seen.
Through the fusion of London’s urban grit with the boundless landscape of Black imagination, Mannek reclaims the gaze, constructing a space where fantasy and reality intersect.

Ephemoral Rio
In Ephemoral Rio, Hannah captures fleeting moments of humanity in Rio de Janeiro - inspired by the idea of the city as an adult playground.
Exploring the concept of play in everyday life, the series highlights the dynamic interactions between people, architecture, and their urban and natural surroundings.
Juxtaposing the city’s vibrant energy with quieter, introspective moments, Ephemeral Rio examines how playfulness manifests in a modern built environment.
Through candid photography, the project offers a fresh perspective on the rhythms of daily life where the lines between work, leisure, and human connection blur in fleeting yet profound ways - emphasising the transient nature of human presence in ever-evolving urban and natural spaces.
By focusing on brief yet profound encounters, Ephemeral Rio invites viewers to experience the city's pulse, where every moment is a story waiting to be seen.
